When do you like to throw this jerkbait ?

What conditions / water clarity do you like to throw the elegy bone color? The blue/ purple back with the chartreuse bottom?

Is it mainly a off color , stained murky situation ?

    thanks in advance .

For me that’s a color that works under all water conditions, clear or stained. If I had to I’d give a slight nod to slightly stained water. It’s a good color that’s easily found anywhere

When targeting brown ones. They hate chartreuse. No idea why, but they do.

Caught 16 lbs Saturday in a tourney throwing jerkbaits in muddy water with 4" of visibility. don't believe the hype that they are clear water only. They are noisy baits.

I have more success on 'loud' colored jerkbaits regardless of conditions!!

I throw them for smallies the day the ice melts till ice forms, colder = longer pause. windier = less pause. Sunnier = less pause. If its 33* windy and sunny i will fish like its 60*. As far as colors i fish the forage colors. Perch, carp, minow, sometimes i will throw loud orange or pinks. To me fish hitting but not being caught is either a size or color deal. Thats how i will end up on bright colors.

I throw bone on cloudy days. Or any other white-sided bait. Norman Flake.
