Bolts for bunks on 2007 Ranger trailer

I am needing to replace the rivets on my box on my ranger trailer. I’ve decided to use bolts instead.Anyone have any suggestions on size type etc.? Thanks very much

I replaced my bunks a couple years ago and decided to go with bolts instead of lags. I believe they are 1/2-13 if I'm not mistaken. I used flat washers and nylon insert nuts on the bottom. I drilled the 1/2" hole thru the bunk then smacked the hex head into the wood until the top was flush to prevent them from spinning when I tightened the nuts, then covered my bunks with Gatorbak's.
