Rumor (or Not?).. 250 4 stroke

I’ve heard the new 250 and plus 4 strokes will be 8 cylinders... is that likely? Would make sense since without being 2 more they would be essentially the same as the 6 verado pros...

If that's the case, sounds like a 600 pound motor to me

Power from the Racing side has found a happy medium. it will be a good motor 6 or 8 but v8 all aluminum engines are light and power producers

Heard the new 3.4 4 strokes aren't available till may.... Doubt the new 250 will be either. Dang spark plug changes just got more expensive if v-8 is true.

    When will it be announced?

Yeah, two more plugs adds a few bucks but how often do they really need to be changed in a fourstroke. I think most automotive engines go over 100k miles before they recommend a change.

FWIW, you can get the correct plug for $9-10.

I am hoping they announce the new 250hp bassboat motor at the Classic. New 250 Pro XS four stroke that falls in with the 150 Pro XS four stroke and uses a TorqueMaster lower unit. I can't see the other motors being used on bassboats.

Heard BBC engineers saying extra 2 spark plugs will cost more, so they re building the new 250 to match the BBC crowd opinions

V-rod is an I-6 I believe... I think the new 4 stroke 250 Pro XS will be a V6, which is very different from an I-6
