    New (to me) Work Car

Economy stimulated last week by getting a demo 2017 Buick Regal Turbo. It replaced a Honda Civic that I could never get comfortable in and drew very tired of the road noise in it. That and a droning CVT I had enough. I know Honda builds great cars but they are just not my taste.

The Regal was a demo with 4200 miles on it. Dealer had $11K in rebates and discounts on it plus I got another $2k off with my GM card. It has a 259hp 2.0T, 6 speed auto, heated leather, dual zone climate control, bluetooth, etc. Really comfortable inside and very quiet, which means I'm getting older I suppose but it makes for a more comfortable drive. So far I'm getting about 7 mpg less than the Honda but that's a tradeoff I'm very willing to take.

The color is black cherry and likely will be tough to keep clean but it looks nice clean:

    Very nice!
Is that the same basic car as the Cruze or the Malibu?

Beautiful car. I just can't get past Buick being built in China though.

Thanks guys. I think this actually is a copy of an Opel Insignia from Germany and the early Regals of this style were built there. This one was actually built in Canada. Its more similar to a Malibu than a Cruze.

Chevy Malibu uses the same Opel designed Epsilon 1 platform.
The Regal is built in Canada.
