congrats! There’s some good ultrex install videos on YouTube when you’re ready to hang it. That’s the exact model I’m looking into.

I installed mine a few weeks ago....today was the first day i got to use it fishing....hell didn't even use my power pole in the shallow water, spot lock was the only thing I needed.....very easy to install... just take your time..

My only complaint is I'm coming from a MG and the "go" button is on the opposite side and I keep hitting the right side and wondering why it's not going........I have to retrain myself....

Coullion, did you get a 45”? My xi5 is a 54” for main lake Toledo. I am trying to decide whether to go 52 or 45?

Got the 45....for my style of fishing that suites me just fine....in fact my MG was 42....so I upgraded in a sense....

Champ210 - Can you clarify that statement? Is the 3"-4" additional length you refer to additional usable shaft length in the water? For example, if I bought a 45" Ultrex to replace my 45" Fortrex, I can fish in bigger waves?

I was finally able to get on the water with my Ultrex for the first time yesterday. It's so nice and I like the sensitivity of the foot pedal too. Had some wind and the spot lock was just as awesome as I expected.
