Two big events happened this month: 1) I am retiring after 25 years on the job; and 2) I ordered a new Z520c. After running a Phoenix 920 for the last five years, I have returned to the Ranger family. This is my seventh Ranger.
First, let me say that Phoenix is very fine boat and it really opened my eyes to the quality of other boats out there. My primary reasons for going with the Z520c is that I wanted the wider deck at the trolling motor, a slightly more steady platform with the TM down, and higher console seating that is easier to get in and out of. The knees and hips just don't bend or move like they use to.
The Phoenix will go up for sale once new boat delivery date gets closer. I am trying to minimize then amount of time that I would be "boat less bank trash".
I ordered the boat from Toho Marine in St. Cloud, FL (my third boat from them), and as usual Joe, Mark, and David did a great job taking care of me. They are by far the best bass boat dealer in the state of Florida. They are fully focused on bass boats and understand the product and the required rigging.
I am really looking forward to the new boat.
