Wonder if you can add another pontoon to the paddle king if needed?

    Mike,

How do you get the boat you're using back on the ice when done fishing? I'd be afraid the edge of the ice would keep breaking off.

We pull up to the edge under power and keep breaking the ice until it goes up on top. Most times it's not far from shore. Most of the time there is no ice. Yesterday we drove 1/4 to 1/2 mile through a skin of ice 1/4 in thick. When we came back it was all melted.

Paddle King has floating dock sections in 4ft and 6ft widths. I'm going to see if we can make something like this work for us having the coned toons installed. It's going to be like fishing off the dock... Literally.

If the flotation cylinders are at the edge it will be the most stable. As I previously suggested, you could add a subcarriage of wheels like bicycle wheels or wheel chair wheels (ask grandpa before you take them) and it would be weightless for all practical purposes and could haul your gear too. You could leave the wheels on in the water, at the speeds you do it wouldn't make a difference.

It will be pretty cool when you get it all set up. I could just me adding on all kinds of bells and whistles and needing a block and tackle to launch

You may want to test the load on those in the water. When you get to one side only the outside float and maybe a little of the center will be supporting the load.

I'm hoping to rig it all up on Sat afternoon... I really want spot lock on the foot operated troller. Not sure that will happen right away. Putting on bassboat style seat base and pedestal seats.

Neither... Gotta keep it as light as possible. Probably putting a MinnKota Edge 55lb troller 45in shaft. I'm not sure I want to "need" 2 batteries.
