Hey guys, just got the parts in to put the carpeted glove box lid and step on my ‘17 ZX225. Skeeter sent me a roll of 1/4 inch black foam as part of the order. Anyone have a clue what this is for?

Did they send hardware also? How long are the screws that go into the hinge or the glovebox lid?
Nope, none of the hardware included.
I got my dealer to give me the pull off from a FX that they added the 2nd console to. The FX faceplate was on it and so were the screws. They are 3-4" long! I don't know if I should use the same length for the hinge area.
By the way, lots of videos on youtube on how to restore the carpet after it's been crushed by the faceplate. I took an iron to it over a wet rag and now it looks like it never had the faceplate on it.
I dunno about the foam though
Is the foam not some sort of insulator for the inside of the lid? All the other lids on the Skeeters have black foam on the under side so I'd imagine that's what that is for... At least mine does anyway... As do there rest of the bugs I've fished out of...
