Securing talons while traveling
Curious how you guys that travel a lot with Talons keep them safe from theft. I've got tilt brackets on my 12fters and they're mounted to an Atlas plate. I've seen the talon locks with socket key but I'm not convinced those would do much since someone could just take them off of the jackplate or bigger brackets.

If your really that worried get the quick disconnect plugs and pull them off each night

I have insurance, if someone takes them Ill file a claim, until then Im not sweating it.
If your that worried about it use some permanent lock tite on the bolts, it takes heat to loosen them.
You could also steak the nuts, meaning you hit the end of the nut near the thread with a punch it puts a dent there and to remove the nut youll need power tools and still struggle.
You could also buy tamper proof bolts https://www.grainger.com/product/6LE...180216142920:s
Another option on the jack plate bolts would be to buy some fine thread bolts and theft proof lug nuts to secure them.
The easiest method of theft would be at the bracket to talon... ..... for this, You could buy the locks we use for our fishfinders and drill the hole out a little and use them on the 3/8 bolts securing the talon to bracket also. https://www.amazon.com/Durasafe-UEL5.../dp/B001BLWZAU
