    mariner magnum 3 without oil

serial number od198941 I ran my boat other day without oil .I ran was across a small lake and back maybe a mile or so and didn't think anything about the oil until next day in 20 yrs that's a first. I hand mix my oil so question is it didn't seize up so should I pull the plugs and put some oil in them before I start it up until my premix oil gets to it .and that tank was bone dry to so wasn't no oil in it .

In my very non-professional opinion. Mix up some fresh gas and properly perform a compression and leak down test.

As an aside, I did (almost) the same thing years ago, but, it did lock up on me. Once it cooled, it would run for a bit, then die. It took a while for me to figure out what had happened. Once I figured it out, I mixed double oil for about two years with no real major issues before I did it again and locked it up for good. This was an old Chrysler/Force. I'm not suggesting you do what I did, just food for thought..

Did the tank have some gas already in the tank with oil in it when you filled up or was near empty? Sounds like you were very lucky. I trust my oil injection more than I trust myself not to pull a similar act.
