This might sound crazy but will that hold bigger guys stepping up and down on it? My partner is pushing 280. I can see his big foot going right through the lid.

If he is going through this lid, he's going through other lids as well.

That looks great. My only question is how easy is it to install/remove. Once in a blue moon I put the center seat back into my boat. I'm assuming by the pics it just screws into the gas tank cover.

Just bolt it in/out. I originally was going to use wingnuts to make it easier to remive but since it is so rare that I will need it out, I went with locknuts.
