I really like fishing Tarpon, but I have not been since the fall and have not heard any reports. Hope someone chimes in with a report.

Not what I wanted to hear as I was contemplating heading to Tarpon on Monday.

Don't not go because of my report. We moved from pinellas county 25 years ago. Spent as much time looking at the changes around the lake as fishing. And man have things changed .

Was there today. Fished until 12pm and only caught 3 fish. Two on a devils horse and one on a bed. A few small fish on beds in the canals.

Didn't make it out this past weekend and shooting for this next weekend. For me a fish on the end of the line is just a bonus as I enjoy being on the water and away from everything....

Water is nasty. Several males on beds but no females. Lots and lots of empty beds

Was there sunday and from what I saw I think the majority of the spawn is done. Lots of empty beds that look old and small males guarding fry. Caught one fish 4 to 5 pounds and it looked like it had not spawned but still think the spawn is mostly over.

That's more what I thought. Like they spawned really early. That or the old timers on the lake 5 times a week keep picking them off

Been guys fishing the canals every day this week. These fish get hammered during the spawn more than the st johns river it seems
