Greatest televised tournament catch is 30 years old!

Well maybe not THE greatest but top 5. This catch became synonymous with the early Bassmaster TV show with Bob Cobb and Ray Scott. There is so much awesome in this catch from the rod and boat and of course the two great phrases that are still being used today.

Go to the 1:55 mark and enjoy!

I like the way he lands the fish without running to the back of the boat and then laying down in the seat screaming and spitting.

Old family friend Chuck Roberts produces those shows. He worked at Zebco when my dad was transferred from California to Oklahoma to work there back in 1971. Chuck picked us up at the airport & we did a lot of stuff together until he passed a few years ago. Lots of good memories.

I remember watching that episode, wish they would bring that format back with the holes using a live weigh and release.

I couldn't help but start laughing when The General powered up the trolling motor.

    Me, too!
