We're any of the early curado reels 6.2:1?

I've got a couple of the Oder green ones that are 5:1 and I just bought one off eBay that looks exactly the same and has no gearing info on it, but was advertised as 6.2:1. Putting a mark on the spool and reeling it doesn't seem to be any quicker then doing the same thing with my 5:1 but I want to check this out before calling the seller on it. Thanks.

Yes. If it doesn't say 5:1, it is a 6.2:1. There was also a 3.8:1 but it will say that on the top just like the 5:1.

I have quite a few of the old greenies that are 6.2 or 6.3 ...... Some have the gear ratio marked and some don't.

Interesting, I’ve never seen a 6.2 Curado B marked with the gear ratio. All my 5:1 Curado Bs are marked with the gear ratio on the front thumb rest and the side plate. I did buy a used 5:1 here on BBC that was marked on the side, but not the front thumb rest (seemed odd). Always wondered if it was pieced together or just happened to come from the factory that way.
