If the Mercury were more reliable, they would have to put so many on the back of the boats!!

No charger dealer in st louis. Marty brought two 210s and that was it. But i will say this, that show is not the same. In fact, for bass boat lovers, it sucks! Lewis had the most bass boats on display and it was a nice display. No nitros at all and there were at least 4 dealers that have always been there absent. The ranger and triton count were down big time!

I wonder if a lot of boats there were in the six figure category. Here in Dallas that’s mostly what was on display.

It seems that the boat manufacturers have it figured out, go where the money is. I stopped by my local dealership yesterday to look at a Phoenix and asked the salesman about 19’-19’11”boats.... they don’t carry any in that length because they don’t sell, they just carry the boats that are over $60k.

Obviously you have to have money to buy anything new these days. Most of the people with money are older, 60 plus i would say, and the boats are marketed towards them. There was tons of pontoons down at the show. And the high end bass boats fall into that same price range of 60 to 100k. Just my opinion.

And those "older" people would need to be richer than a foot up a bull's azz ... this sexagenarian don't fit in that category.

Best thing that ever happened to dealers is having one dealer per boat manufacturer in a given city. Two or more dealers tend to cut each others throat. Now a lot of manufacturers have gone to National Advertising Pricing to prevent the throat cutting. Like it or not, a dealer needs profit to keep his doors open. There was only one St. Louis area bass boat dealer not there that I know of. There are three Ranger dealers in St. Louis area and only one wasn't there.
