    stepped hull transducer placement

I have a tracker pro team 185. I am upgrading to a helix 10. I want to run a 2d transducer on the step for on plane readings, and the SI transducer on the transom for protection. I have mounted pads for the install. Do you see any problems with were the transducer pad locations? Hummingbird says keep it 15" from prop(original location), but it also says you can possibly mount on step. Thanks

Those two mount board locations are OK.

If your hull bottom is as dented as it looks, your on-plane depth readings are not going to be consistent.

Thanks Wayne. The pic makes it look worse. No dents in the hull, but it does have rivets. I'll hopefully find out how it works next week

If you have the 2d ducer plunged a little too deep it might disrupt water to your prop just a little bit there.
