Pros and cons, would you buy another , do you like as much as a comparable fiberglass bass boat?

Fishes good and is fast as most glass boats. They all have little issues . Yes I would buy another.

What speeds do you see with your X21TS/250 XS? What prop are you running?

I am with Warren on that^^^ . If they could take the beam width a little more forward would be nice.

Do the dry storage and rod boxes stay dry when it rains?

This is no longer true with the 2018 models. Trailered my X19 five hours back from seminole a little over a week ago. Pouring rain pretty much the whole way back and the compartments were completely dry

I've got an 03 X21 with a 250 HPDI. When it rains pretty hard I'll get some water in my compartments, but it's just a little wet, there's no standing water.

Loved my 2017 X21 until (1) installed Talons and the boat lost 3 mph and performance fell off and it started to porpoise (2) trailer started to fall apart as in nuts working loose on suspension bolts and swing away tongue coming loose all the time causing the boat/trailer to bounce on the hitch (3) Wet compartments needed drying out after rains and stuff put in plastic storage boxes to keep dry, and (4) fishing in the wind as the bow really catches the wind and keeps you on the troller a lot more. The ride of the boat was awesome before the Talons. Shot out of the hole and was fun to just cruise at 40-45 mph. The boat just sat there and handled most any water. As to the porpoising issue, the factory said it was due to a weld bead not being added to the hull/transom joint. They were willing to fix but needed to take to factory. Layout was great and front deck is massive. Low 70's with 225 pro xs and 24 Fury. With Talons about 68-69. Hope this helps.

    I have a 2018 X21 with a 250 SHO, running a 26 p Yamaha sho prop fully loaded, gas, 4 batteries, livewells full, 71 mph at 5800 rpm.
    Sound about right?

First post - I too am looking at switching from a glass boat. Are there any common issues with the x21? The only one I really read about was the leaking compartments, but looks like they addressed it. I don't thrash my boats, just want a solid, no issue (within reason) reliable aluminum boat. Thank you

I have a 2019 x21 like it & would buy another. The compartments leaked some I sealed around the weld and now they stay dry. I am just a aluminum boat guy. Reason is I can fix a aluminum boat and even paint if need be but can not do much with fiberglass.
