    Question Question About Phoenix Boats

Really considering getting a Phoenix 920 coming out of a Ranger Z20. I can't seem to find any pics of the area where the livewell pumps and bilge pumps are located. How difficult are these to replace should one go out on the water? In my Z20, I can look down at a certain angel and see all the pumps and even my shoot through hull transducer. On the phoenix boats, all I see in the back compartment is the batteries and no other visible way to get to the pumps.

There is a plate that covers all of that up. You'd take out a few screws and they're down there in the bilge. I've removed mine several times for this and that, and it's pretty easy getting to them when it's on the trailer. I don't think it would be too bad when it's in the water, but then again I haven't had to do it. I've had my boat for 8 years and I'm still running the original pumps.

Phillips screwdriver is all you need. Depending on the battery set up you may have to move one. The black plate comes out pretty easy

Im sure trying to fix anything in the rear of the boat while on the water would have some difficulty to it since there is not much room....the good thing with the Birds, they have 2 independent livewells.....

Hurry up and get that Bird so you can make videos with it!!!

I had a 921 and this is one of the few complaints I had about it. You have to take a lot of stuff apart to get to the goods.

I think you can organize the back to where you can leave that tray out. Probably not if you have power poles

Remove one battery so two nuts. And 4 screws to lift the panel.

You could mount rust battery w out the panel if you chose to with two simple runners across the opening.

Thank yall for the responses. I'm planning on going check out my local dealer this Friday. They have several on the showroom floor. @Fishing Coullion, We have Toledo Bend in a couple weeks, I'll definitely have the camera rolling for that trip!
