I put one in my 18xl without any issues. Measured several times to make sure it was centered. I was able to look in the area by removing the front panel that holds a gps. Use a shop vac close to the saw. A lot of dust when cutting. I used a scroll saw and 1 blade.

I put one in a 2004 285 ProXL. It's about 4" back from the front of the deck. You can take the front storage box out to verify there are no interferences. Make a template out of cardboard.

To center the tray tie string on back of boat and run it to the front bow light. Center the string with your seat pedestal holes and make template from cardboard. Mines 3" from front and easy cut. Measure twice cut once

Got one in my 2006 285 pro xl. Actually had it off set to the left a bit because I like to use my left foot to run my trolling motor.

Thanks boys. Which product did you use? As in which actual tray?
