    Non-resident Fishing License

I’ve searched the Louisiana state website for the cost of a fishing license for a non-resident and can’t find anything. I’ll be fishing Toledo for a week in March. Does anyone know the rates?

    non-resident basic fishing license is $60 a year. A non-resident basic fishing license is $5 a day.

I think though, that the TX non-resident license is going to be more than the LA. Not sure, but I think it is.

I have a license for Texas already. I was hoping there would be a “Toledo” license like the one you can get for Texoma. But I emailed TPWD and they said I would need both a Texas and Louisiana license if I want to fish both sides of the lake.

I would call them to get that explained a little better. As far as I know, any states texas or LA license is valid (resident or out of state) as long as you are on the water. If you fish from the bank or dock then you need the license for the state you are in. I would get the license for the state you are staying if you plan to keep any fish, just so there is no question about possession off the water.

La is a seasonal licence, which sucks! Think its from JULY to July! Arkansas is good for a year from day you buy it!

Somebody must have been trying to make Louisiana some extra money because that is not true.

I bought mine today for the upcoming BASS Nation Central Regional Toledo Bend. It was $42 dollars for March 2nd through March 9th. $5 a day plus a $2 convenience fee for buying it online.
