How to remove a stuck prop thrust bushing

I know I’ve done this on my old motor but I want to be sure I’m doing it right on my G2. Any advice?

Good deal, in the future I mostly whack mine with a brass hammer. Brp triple guard grease on the splines and shaft helps this also.

Ive done the hammer whack on my old motor. Was a little afraid to do it to my G2. I was just wondering what the “proper “ technique is. I took my trailer in for some work I didn’t want to leave the prop on. Glad I checked because the prop nut was lose and the cotter pin was about destroyed. Not much longer and it would have been gone! Weird that it was so lose?

I wonder if these G2’s have a problem in this area. I spun off a brand new fury last fall. Had not been on a couple months. Never had that happen in 40yrs of boat ownership..

It was quite a surprise. I’ve never seen that before, either.

I'm sure you had it in for warranty repair. But to answer the 86" question no that is normal when you torque them down and the grease goes away. Smack with hammer Not normal to lose a prop shaft.
