    couple of pics from yesterdays trip ....

    Looks good to me on the sidescan clear and crisp what do you think also what do you guys use on downscan 455 or 800 when scanning? having trouble with pics sorry Attachment 316526 Attachment 316527

    no pic to see for me.... I use 455 to locate stuff, then maybe 800 when I want a closer look.

    The pics are kind of hard to really see well with the glare from the screen/glass. Part of your
    issue will be that shallow of water.


    As far as telling the difference between rock and grass, usually rocks will give a brighter return. But with that said, we have next to zero grass in our lakes, so I’m not an expert on how it scans.

    Looks good Al. I also use 455 as the image quality is more than good enough and it gives better coverage.

    Tip for you, set your screen up so that you have 3 windows, on top split 2 (I use mapping and either 2d or DI) and then use the entire width of the screen for the bottom window and set that to SI, that way you get a full wide look at the SI, which helps find and identify stuff.

    lowrance HDS 10 gen 2 with an LSS2 sidescan is fine it is the downscan I want to clear up or make more like the downscan???

    yeah I know not a good pic of the downscan also can you run sidescan at 455 and downscan at 800 on a split screen or is that not possible???just wondereing??
