    919 vs 920 opinions

Guys I'm looking at both rigs new. How does the 919 deck compare with the 920 width wise and storage?. And how does the ride compare?
    Thanks

width is the same, and what you can store is practically the same when looking at plastic storage boxes. the 920 will have a few extra inches in the rod lockers. 2 center boxes vs one, is personal preference , you have 7 more inches of length behind you on the front deck but in front of the seat pedestal its all the same.
in most normal conditions the ride will be very close with the 920 having a slight edge in rough water conditions, I ride and fish in both and dont notice a lot of difference.

919 rated for a 225 and 920 rated for a 250 if that is important to you

The 7 inch would be enough for me, I went from a 17.8 inch boat to my 920 worried it would be too big now I wish I went 921.

I'm trying to figure out if the price difference is worth the 8 inches and 25 more horsepower also. Both are slick boats

    It's worth it...
8'' doesn't sound like much till you're standing on it with rods laying around.

You will never regret getting the 20’er.

920 is the perfect size boat IMO. If I were to buy another one tomorrow it would be a 920.

Everyone has a different 'perfect' rig. For me, the 919 is it! I really don't think you can go wrong with either. Just match up your style and choose the best you can!

Good luck on the Bird hunt!

It's a tough decision. I've been in a 2004 520vx ranger for 13 years. I've gone back and forth with the pros, cons of each. Thanks for the reply. Good info

Also for me garage would be a big factor. If a 919 was all I could fit in my garage then that is what I would own.

Garage was a factor for me so i went 919. Looking back even if I had garage space for the 920, for me the 919 is perfect. But if garage is not an issue get what you can afford. Good luck in your search, really can’t go wrong with any bird if it fits your needs/wants.

    I've got a 30' by for 40' shop. I think I've decided on the 920. I'll post pics when I get it.

Get the biggest boat your wallet and garage will allow. I have 2 1/2" to spare in my garage
