    Ram Mount Tightener

    Have a Ram mounted Lowrance 7 sized unit mounted outboard of the drivers console and found it hard to tighten the wing nut to keep it from tilting. Solution: took a 2 inch od piece of PVC and cut a slot in one end about 1 1/2 inches deep and just wider than the thickness of the Ram wing nut so that it would slip over the nut. PVC is about 18 inches long and I wrapped the end opposite the cut end with some painters masking tape to help the grip. Works well.

    You could also put a T on the end and use it like a big wing nut.

    I decided to only use a tee. It's not pretty, it works though. Best of all, less than $3.
