    Pontoon tires

My wife and just purchased a 2011 21ft party barge for us to take the kids on. The trailer is a tandem axle trailer with 175/80r13 with the tires being a C rated tire. I am planning on replacing all 4 tires as 2 of them are iffy looking. With the 2 that are iffy looking being the original “tracker Marine” tires that came on the trailer. My question is, if I decided to go to a Load Range D rated tire will there be any draw backs? I’m thinking that overall this will be a safer tire for towing. This boat will be towed on every outing and will primarily be used in the summer and up and down interstates. Is there any draw back or any reason not to put the D rated tires of the same size on it?
