What can you tell me about the 2010 19xs with a Merc 225 pro xs?

I'm currently on my 3rd Triton. A 2005 TR196 with the 200 optimax that will run over 70 but with skinny decks.

Ive got several grandkids coming of age that like to fish and my 4-5 trips a year may double as I spend time with them.

My understanding is that the 2010 19xs was actually 20'2", held 53 gallons of gas and with the Merc 225 pro xs would run 72mph and had slightly longer rod lockers and wider decks.

What I don't know is if the live wells were seperate like the TR196 (which I prefer) and if it handled rough water/chop better then the TR196 and not such a handful after 65???

If anyone has some input on this boat I'd appreciate any info you can give me. Thanks!!!

The boat in my signature will run in the 70s with w 225. My livewells are independent. The boat is very stable and gives a good ride.

My boat doesn't walk at all at 71 mph. However, my boat is only 19.9' long.

Triton 19 XS Elite, 225 Mercury Pro XS, Minn Kota Ultrex 112, Hydrowave H2, Twin 8' Power Pole Blades, Power Pole CHARGE, Lowrance HDS 12 and 16 at console, Lowrance HDS 9, Garmin LiveScope at bow, Mercmonitor, Rigid Industries Deck lights and other stuff to come that will make me go more broke

Should be a nice upgrade from your 196. I have the 2013 version. It drives, rides and fishes as well or better than any boat in it's class, IMO. As Tim said, it's not a 20' boat. Mine holds ~45 gallons of gas and will crack 72 lightly loaded. Front deck space and rod storage is much larger than your 196. I can store 7'11" sticks in either side. Some of those boats did come with a single large/divided livewell. That wouldn't be a deal-breaker for me. Good luck with your search.

the 2010 19xs is a 20'2" boat but stopped I believe in 2011 and went down to 19-9. From what I've read its comparable to a 20x2.

Thanks guys. According to my research, the 2010 19xs was a 1 year run critter at 20'2" and holding 53 gallons of gas. For me the 2 independent live wells, 53 gallons of gas, wider decks and the ability to run a 225 on the back would be the interest in changing from my current boat.
Without those items I wouldn't be gaining enough to entice me to change from my current setup, that quite truthfully with the low hours and what it does is plenty of boat unless I can find a low hour deal on the aforementioned 2010 19xs. I've found one that I have not received a response back on yet.

I have a 2010 19xs tournament with a 225 opti. It is in fact a 20'+ boat and I have yet to see any speeds over 63mph. I love the boat, and I feel like it was bult for comfort, not speed... just as the X2 was. mine also has a 58 gallon fuel tank. all in all I love this boat. Just not a speed demon like the other triton models.
