Coldest in memory and relatively rainy. But thankfully just a dusting of snow.

Hope next 6 weeks passes fast.

So the cabin fever got to me so bad that I got the bright idea to pull the boat down to Lake of the Ozarks last week. Only to get there during a terrible cold front with highs barely reaching freezing. Got there Monday, left Friday. Only managed to fish Tuesday and Thursday. Boat was froze solid to the trailer on Wednesday. Caught one bass the entire trip. Utterly depressing.

I've considered taking the drive out there. But I found a similar situation in Kansas, which would be an equal drive. Apparently, Lake La Cygnes puts out 10lbers. If my schedule wasn't so packed I'd be taking a trip out there real soon. It might have to wait until April.

Puts out 10# when the stars align and one fish managed not to be killed before it got there.

Double digits always requires the stars to align. But I'll take a 7, too!
