Do you mostly fish from a kayak? For a while now I did it almost exclusively.

It was the only exercise I got really. But I also prefer the boat.

I've seen that the docks are in on the Missouri River. Anyone know if the smallmouth fishing is any good in Lewis and Clark?

My wife is really suffering from cabin fever. I have enjoyed my winter sitting on my rear end doing just about nothing watching Netflix. She continues to pick up after our 6 year old granddaughter and her life revolves around the wash room. It has been cold and very rainy--keeping me inside.

Now the weather is breaking, the wife is getting downright aggressive about me getting to work. I'm trying to look just busy enough--hoping that it will shut her up.

you just need to come up with your own list, and effectively explain why they are more important to do like clean the boat, wax the boat, protect the investment for the future

I can't tell you from experience but guys from around here in Omaha go there to get their small fix sometimes. They seem to like it but they also don't get to catch sallies often.

Thanks. I'll give it a shot this year! It will probably be open before the southern most glacial lakes

I believe Lewis and Clark is more of a Largemouth fishery.
I hear it gets good in the summertime in the cat tails...

The bottom end of Francis Case will open up soon and that is a fun place to fish.

Sinai will probably open first of the glacial lakes. We were getting some open water around the edges but we will see.

A year ago I was test driving my BassCat on Okoboji, and there were people fishing. I looked on a webcam from there last week and she was still froze solid.

I can't wait to get back on Sinai! I had fun last year. I've only fished it a handful of times. It looks promising. I fished Brant as well.

Thanks for the information. I've fished some walleye just passed the colony on Lewis and Clark. It looks like a very bassy area.

Well get you a partner and come on down! I’d invite you along with me if I didn’t already have a partner. I was going to fish it on my own but (like ND) you can only bring in 3 fish if you are by yourself while the tournament is actually a 5 fish limit.

By the way, is this Matt that I’m talking to? I’m guessing so based on the Florida reference in the location.

I think Okoboji is finally ice free on the west lake.
