I am doing my boat right now. Use some acetone and a scotch brite pad and you can get it down to clean gel. I did that after scrapeing with a good sharp scraper. Use the red scotch brite. Let the acetone soak on rag placed on the deck areas and then scrape. On the compartment lids use a small grinder with a wire cup brush.
