So kind of a long story. Bought a transom mount 360 in March of last year. It took a couple trips but I figured it out and started getting pretty darn good images. Happy customer!
Some time around late summer I had a retract/deploy failure. Spoke with humminbird and they had me send it back to them. Within a week what appeared to be a brand new 360 was delivered to my house. Great customer service!
Slapped it on the boat and went fishing. I was very happy that the retract/deploy was functioning correctly, but for some reason the 360 image on the graph seem significantly "hotter" than my previous unit. I didn't think much of it and figured I just need to fool with the settings. I hunt as well so I have only been on the water a couple time since then and for the life of me I can't get this thing dialed in. I reset the defaults on the graph (1198) and that seemed to "cool" the image down a little but I can't adjust it to get anything close to the images I was getting before. I also switched it over to a H12 mega and that didn't seem to do any good either.
So ..... What would you do? Would you send it back again or keep trying to adjust the settings? The last time I sent it back it was something like $70 on my dime... I'd like to try to fool with the settings a little more but I'm very confident that I should have been able to get this thing working because I know what my settings were before. my warranty is almost over and I don't want to get stuck paying the repair fee if the unit they sent was defective.
