    Lower Unit Question????

What Years & HP will at lower unit fit from a 1999 Evinrude FICHT 200 FPLEEN?

    Will it fit a new E-TEC 150HP, model E150HGL?

Typically the 90 degree V-6 and the 60 degree V-6 have different length driveshafts and shift rod designs, other than that, the same gearcase.

How can you tell if its a 90 degree motor or 60 degree?
    Is the 1999 FICHT 200 a 90 degree motor? and the new E-TEC 150HP a 60 degree motor?

    thanks

Yes and yes. You will need to remove the drive shaft and shift rod from the bad case and install both on the new case and set the shift rod to spec.

Typically, anything 200 H.P. and above are 90 degree.

Thanks for the info Fred, I knew I was sticking my neck out on that one since I haven't kept up with the newer stuff coming out. I'm still stuck in the 90's!

    I think the G2 is a 74degree block.

    So I'm buying a brand new new E-TEC 150HP, model E150HGL

is it worth it to me to hang onto this lower unit from my old engine (1999 FICHT 200) for a spare?

How about the power trim , will this fit the new engine?

    thanks

The HGL will have the L2 lightning gearcase, your magnum will work on the E-TEC once you swap the shift rod and drive shaft and swap them. the trim will also work. From your description you are getting a G1 so all will work. G2 parts will not work as they are different.
