Installing black light on rub rail

Thinking about installing the black light strip on my rub rail... how do you run the wire and keep it hid?

Only way is to drill a hole through to the inside. Preferably close to the front and wire to your front panel.
My opinion....Same as the Law.....By Law anything showing at night that's not Green on Starboard and Red on Port is illegal.
Now if you do alot of night fishing it would work but still.....there are many black light options for night fishing instead of drilling through your cap!
One More Thing....boat docks will take'em out in a matter of time!

Not if they are installed properly.

Only other option is run the wires externally at the rear of the rub rail and then they'd be exposed and STILL Illegal for operating unless you were docked!
Tell me of another way to wire the lights without drilling through the boat for the wiring.....I'm all ears!

I misunderstood what you were saying. I thought you were talking about the lights themselves. I wouldn't even try to install them without drilling. It's no big deal, is not seen, and causes no issues if done properly. I have the NightFishion lights. 1 small hole in the rubrail channel on each side at the nose of the boat. Silicon the wires in and no problems.

Had them on mine for years. My starboard set is the first set of HO models ever made. Prototype I tested for Mike. Zero problems yet with mine.
