Good test.

I've thought recently that if I ever trade I would look at the 4 stroke for fuel efficiency and noise reduction. Based on this study I better rethink that.....
interesting test. no popup for me
Wow!!! That was really surprising to watch. I wonder if they would have used a 200 SHO would the results have been different?? I realize there isn't a lot of saltwater guys running SHO's but I just wonder if the results would have been any different.
interesting. No pop up for me
I have been getting the Boat Test emails for many years now. It has been interesting to see what they put out. In my opinion, Boat test is biased towards Evinrude, Tracker and NItro for the bass side of things and you can follow the same trends on the saltwater side too, with Mako being their "top" boat.

2014 200 SHO
Wow!!! That G2 is a beast!!!
Interesting indeed. Wonder if there is a reliability difference between 2 vs 4 stroke.
Here's a test against the SHO.
I'm sure there are some out there and probably someone will come along and speak up I'm sure, but I've yet to talk to someone that owns or has driven a G2 that didn't absolute love it. Several in our club and they all swear by them.
.
Just goes to show how usable torque is when getting on plane and lots of other common situations. Torque really comes into play when loading your boat down. Very neat "study" and impressive results by the G2

Big pop-up for me too
Still fugly and I'll take hammer reliability over Evinrude anyday! Think FICHT
Bombardier didn’t make or design the FICHT motor.
