    Lightbulb Phoenix Installation

I have a partial install on my boat...bought an the Echomap Plus several weeks ago along with the PS 22 Panoptix ducer......i also changed out my TM to an Ultrex. Got the install finished tonight.....everything was fairly easy. Running wires, mounting ducers, and bracket. Had to make a new bracket spacer as the one i had from my Lowrance didnt work.....also i had a total of 3 positive/negative wires under pane to hook up so i ordered a dual buss bar and connected everything to it....in the future i plan on running a wire from the dash to the buss bar but for now i'm using the power wires that were used to power the graph (dont have pics of this)..... also know that you are supposed to run the wires with the power cables but i did and used a product called Troll Jacket. Instead of zip tying ducer cable to TM cable the Troll Jacket is used to wrap them up all up together....hopefully i dont have any interference issues.

    Here are a few pics:

Im kinda a neat freak with some of these things.....thats also why it takes me a full day to do simple installs.....BUT when i'm done, i know its done right .....the only thing i'll have to watch for is my cable at the top during the turning of the TM head.....i manually turned it so i believe it will be clear.....

Nice work! So can you tell me about the 2d/sideview transducer.. What is the model number and did the black piece that holds the large hose clamps come with or was that an add on? I've been trying to talk myself into getting the same setup, Thanks!

The grey ducer is the sonar/side-down vu ducer, it comes with both TM mount and transom mount. The Panoptix ducer comes with the barrel and shaft mount.

For the 2d ducer, that TM mount is plastic and it a pretty thin piece where the clamps are.....one good smack on a stump, rocks or run aground, it will probably break.....if i plan on having it on there permanently i'd get the TSS brackets.....but testing it out for now....

Fish - been thinking about an Ultrex but with my 22TR I would think the spot lock engaged would be a bit annoying. Interested in your experience.

Finished my complete install of Garmin units a few weeks ago....got the final piece (transducer cable) this week and put it on last night.....hopefully i can get out this weekend to test it out. Whole install was done by me.

    Here is the complete install:

Dash: Echomap Plus 93sv w/GT 15 in bilge, and UHD on jackplate

Bow: Echomap Plus 93sv w/GT52 and PS 22

Both units and Panoptix networked to the UHD module located in rod box.

    Pics:

    GT 15

Both PS 22 mounts on TM so i can switch xdcr around while on the water....

Coupler to connect PS 22 to UHD module cause cable was to short to reach location.

Have a terminal block up front cause i had 3 items that needed power so instead of connecting ALL the wires together figured i go this route and can disconnect if i need with out cutting wires every time

You're killing me Jeremy. I have a Phoenix dealer within walking distance of my house.
    I like what you've done.

Shaft stays in place, so no issue with the cables......

It is an Ultrex, the mount folds up to stow the motor, same as the Fortrex. You don't slide the shaft through the mount like with an Ultrerra or Terrova.
