    Faster hull.

Currently running a Yamaha 300 HPDI on an 88 206, 6” plate with a Razor 27 worked by mark fastest to date is 87 and some change. We are thinking of putting it on a 95 209 single console with 10” plate. Which hull is faster? Can’t find any info with either hulls with a 300 HPDI.

To my knowledge that’s an unusual setup either way. I would assume the 209 is a touch faster because it’s an updated design. However the 2100’s are the fastest 21’ Hull. My guess is either of the hulls(206,209,2100) with a 300 HPDI you’re going to be in the upper 80’s no matter what, no significant gain.

    The 206 is a bit lighter....might be a wash between a 209 and the 206

    Wasn’t there a member from Hamilton, Ala that ran a 300 HPDI on a 206 or 209?

7 - 10 years ago, he was reporting numbers from his testing (if memory is anywhere close to correct).

    I think he had a 2200 with Yamaha 300 running 85.

I run a 209te with a 250xs and it runs 83 max. That is 1/4 tank of gas, no livewell water, not much fishing gear. I am putting on a 300xs next week. I can let you know what speed i get with that set up.

Motor swap has been delayed due to inclement weather. Hopefully next week. :(

I took it out and ran it. Somehow I lost power to the trim switch so I couldnt get the boat to go fast. Significant power increase over the 250xs! I will habe more info saturday. The fastest i got it was 70 but it was plowing worse than a ranger with no trim.
