Best Location for mounting a Total Scan Transducer

Hi guys, New here so if this question has been asked before, please bare with me. I have a 04 ZX225 that I'm installing a Total Scan transducer to the transom. Question, whats the best area to mount it to, and if you have any pictures of what you've done it would be even better, since I'm more a visionary person. I've heard guys putting transducers under where live-well water pickups are, is that a good place? or is their others. Thanks for any help you can send my way.

Your are in luck! Lowrance made a video on how to properly install a total scan transducer. It even has under water footage and shows how to adjust to get a proper reading. Best of all, the install boat was a Skeeter.
