    Recommended Ultrex Shaft Length

I know, I know, it's all based on the water you fish...

I have a 04' 200 Pro XL with a 45 shaft Fortrex shaft. I fish all types of water deep and shallow, and get out to Lake Mille Lacs a few times a year. I'm putting on an Ultrex these year and am wondering, those of you with Ultrex's are you running a 45" or a 52" ?? Any input would be great.

It really depends where you fish. Is your current trolling motor coming out of the water a lot due to waves? That is the only benefit of the longer shaft.

I went 45" no regrets.. 52" would have stuck up to high the majority of time for fishing i do and would have gotten in the way. Your cover def wont fit without mods with a 52" ultrex for sure. May be tight w the 45" as well.
