    Ultrex on a Z7?

Any Z7 owners out there have an Ultrex mounted on their bow?

If so can you post a picture of the mounted base? I am getting an Ultrex and trying to get an idea of how much space the footprint will take up.

    Many thanks

I found this picture from one of the Japanese Nitro dealers which illustrates an Ultrex on a Z7 that may help.

    Thanks

Trying to get an idea on where the footprint will lay so I can plan a few thing ahead.
Looks like they have the shaft out quite a ways from the rub rail...

What if you move the plugin and push the pedal all the way forward?

I read it might fit then?

How far out is the shaft from the rubrail in that position?

    Thanks

Just installed an Ultrex on my 2015 Nitro Z7. The pedal will not fit unless you ether cut the existing deck or the front panel ad run the cable strait out.

Just checked out your pictures...very nice install. One question; the pedal sits pretty low in the recessed tray, is it difficult to hit the spot lock and cruise control buttons with your foot?
    Don't worry Ma'am....

Spotlock is not a problem as it sits higher. The other buttons are low and are not able to hit with foot. Dawson at fish on Fabrications can adjust the depth of the tray for you no problem.

I was more concerned with having the foot pedal be almost level with the deck than the two bottom.buttons. Spotlock is what I use the most and it's easily pressed with the foot.

I have a Z-7 and just installed my custom tray from Fishon to accommodate the Ultrex. It was the same design done for all of the Z-8s sporting new trays. It was perfect and Mjgarret is right, Dawson at Fishon will make it whatever depth you like. It did take a few weeks to get the tray as the powder coater was backed up but all in all, it was a good decision for me. I would highly recommend Fishon Fabrications. I will post some pics of my new setup when I get a chance.

The foot pedal will fit once you move the plug. That's all I did, and it works great.
