    Question Nitro Covers

I remember a few months ago or so seeing a post about someone needing a new cover, well it's happened to me. Apparently mine got a tear in it from something(??) and the wind we had a few days ago tore the back 1/4 apart from the outboard up to the livewell. It was the old factory cover that's now almost 8 years old so I can't complain about that.
I remember some people liking the Dowco because it's custom made to fit but had issues with seams and such. Now that Christmas is behind us I'm looking online and there's a bunch of aftermarket suppliers but I can't find any reviews on them. Anybody got any experience with buying a cover from anywhere other than BPS?

Aurora Canvass in Battlefield MO makes a great cover. They made me one that was still going strong after 14 years when I sold my Champion.

    Checkout http://baldmikes.com/

The covers are made by Carver, and Westland. Right now for the next 4 days there is a significant sale going on where you can score a Custom Exact Fit cover made of Sunbrella, Sharkskin, and Sun-dura fabrics. Just ordered one for my 2018 Nitro Z18 and saved about half of what I would have paid for a Nitro cover when I ordered the boat. (hmm... that almost started to sound like one of the hair-club-for-men commercials, sorry guys...lol)

Dowco is going to be hands down the best. All covers have issues.

We found another that I listed in the Misc. forum. Fits a Z8DC with Fortrex for $556 if anyone is in need.

I agree with Dowco being the best! I encountered a similar issue with a small tear and wind damage. Called up DOWCO and made a warranty claim....few weeks later new cover was at my door step no charge! Customer service is very important when you spend that kind of money in my opinion.
