I am buying the 7'6" Denali pryme for this. It's a crappie rod but should work great. I have alot of other Denali rods and they are awesome! This one Carry's a flying 5 stars

It’s hard to beat the BPS Micro Lite for the money.

Thanks guys. I ordered a 9 ft. medium light Steel head spinning rod. If I had saw the bps rod i’d have orders it first.

If it’s the St.Croix Triumph series, I think you will like it.

I ordered an okuma connisuer 9ft. medium light action. Hopefully I didn’t screw the pooch on it. It had a bunch of good reviews.

I have a 9' BPS Pro Finesse. Sadly, they stopped making these but it is a great rod. I'd call it a moderate action. The top 1/2-2/3 is very light and forgiving but the bottom 1/3-1/2 has good backbone. The backbone makes casting easier and I can cast further than with a slow noodle rod style action. I've thrown up to a 15' leader with this rod.
