Gambler 206 Merc 225 EFI Best Prop

I am running a gambler 206 with a mercury 225 EFI with 8" setback. I currently run a 26 tempest plus. It struggles a little out of the hole especially with the live wells full. I get 70 at WOT i have a little more trim up to get the more speed but then it gets over 5800 RPM. So at 5800 it runs about 70. What prop is best for this setup? i am okay with 70 MPH but would like a better holeshot as i fish in Florida and need to get up in shallow water quick. Should i get the tempest worked or maybe look at a fury. TIA

If that’s a 1996-1998 225 EFI, ur gonna always have the whole shot issues..
best id suggest is a hydraulic JAck plate and a 25 fury 3 or 25 trophy...

I’m pretty sure 1999 and newer had the better mid section and the whole shot was improved, I’d suggest trying a fury 25P ... better hole shot and top end than a Tempest .. make sure u have played with the PVS system on that Tempest

You can send the prop to steves custom props or marks high performance propeller and have extra vent holes added.

4 blade. I would try a Bravo I with twin vent holes.

i have a 1990 206 single console. 8" slidemaster plate and a 2002 225EFI. i run a 27 tempest plus. hole shot is very strong and i turn 73 all day loaded.. best was 76.3.
3.25 below pad. i tried a 26 fury once and it was even stronger on holeshot and ran 76.7 im waiting for that prop to come in.

I bought my 1993 206 and haven't messed with the setup 25p 4-blade trophy plus I like it. I believe I have added setback on my boat and I haven't pushed it to the limit yet but I can cruise at 70 no problem,

The 25 fury out of the box would probably be your best bet...the tempest is a great prop, but must be worked for a good holeshot, and Mark Croxton is the best on that wheel in my opinion..The 26 may be a pitch too tall for your rig....
