Slim, you're correct on direction. South is unhandy but a north blower makes horrible conditions at the ramp. Water comes up to 3 feet at the ramp about 50 yards out and that pushes rollers up that overrun the back of boat. Boats can bottom out too if the lake is low when the rollers take the water on shore. They only close it at a steady 20 mph and higher gust. Many of the incidents were before the HP restrictions were lifted but it still can be difficult. Depending on wind I will be there too. Had a good trip yesterday. Caught a bunch of bass. Biggest 4.03lbs. Made the long drive worth while.
