    Triton Hulls

What is the difference between the different Triton hulls? For example, tr21, tr21x, tr21x2, 21hp,etc. I know the tr21 is the original. And I believe the hp is fastest? Anyways, I'm just curious to.the difference between all of them.

TR 21 was the fastest 2002-2004 model. X models were heavier and wider in the bow. 21 hp should be the fastest x model boat.

My TR-21 with a 250 HP has never been beat by any other Triton model with a 250 HP.

They’re not real slow. I had to say that and laugh cause mine only had a 225 on it. After I installed the PP it wouldn’t get past 65. IMO a 225 is not enough for that tank of a boat. Those were real well built boats. I’m speaking of the X2 model in case this post got lost in the shuffle.

I have a 2005 Tr-21x. On the title it states Tr-21x hp. I believe the 2007 model Tr-21x hp moved the fuel tank forward instead of under the seat.

You have asked me for help before via PM, with your set-up, and I have given you recommendations for your boat. Simply put MY "set-up" likely can't help your 225 EFI with 8" jackplate, and Gen1 lower unit. I have worked in a lot of different areas for small gains, that when added up make a big difference. When I switch between props, some adjustments are changed.

I am currently working on a 2006 Mercury Racing 250 to install on my Tr-21. Hopefully will have it ready to go in a month or so.

You can't run the same lower unit as me......You need a Generation1 Torquemaster.
