    Minn Kota MAXXUM Lift Assist - New Post

    The previous post was getting a little long and I thought a new post would make it easier to navigate.
    This lift assist is designed to remove the weight when lifting the motor to stow. I created a PDF that has a complete parts list, installation instructions and a few tips to remove slack and quieten a worn MAXXUM mount.

    Yes, That is confusing on the pics and the only time it shows up is in the install instructions. One picks up most of the weight but because it is designed to provide pressure when deployed (to reduce clanking when changing direction), I felt it should be balanced.

    I made a slight change to the vertical location of the 5/16-18 stud mounting hole based on feedback from one of the members. The cloud drive shared folder has been updated so the link in Post #1 will take you to the latest version of the PDF.

    No but you don’t need it on a Fortrex. It comes from the factory with a lift assist. It’s the cylinder in the center of the mount.

    i appreciate the feed back. I sent out over 60 PDF’s when I was emailing them but have no way of knowing how many have been downloaded from the cloud drive.
