    17 TRX18 with ProXS 175

I may have the opportunity to purchase a 2017 TRX18 , it has a 175 ProXS, any thoughts on this boat with a 175 vs 200. thanks!

Who cares what others think if it's a good deal and you want it get it. As far as 25hp goes you won't feel the difference... jmo.

If the price is right, doubt you'll notice the difference between a 175 and 200. Probably only a couple mph anyways..

I have a 2016 18 TRX with the 150 4 stroke and it's adequate. I would think the 175 would be just about right.

Personally, if you can afford to go to the 200, I would. Its better to have the 200, then buy the 175 and wish you had bought the 200. Plus we're bass fisherman, the faster the better!

Believe the 200 will be a 3 liter motor vs 2.5 for the 175. The 3 liter will give a lot better response on take off and give several more MPH on top.

Kinda depends on the deal, IMO. If I was going to spec that boat new it would be with a 200 SHO. But, if its an awesome deal I’d consider the 175.

Keep in mind its the same hull as the 189 which maxes out a 150HP so its not like you’d be underpowered with a 175.

I had an 189 TRX with a 150 FS. It was a good riding boat. With a 150 it would run about 56 to 57.

Triton 19 XS Elite, 225 Mercury Pro XS, Minn Kota Ultrex 112, Hydrowave H2, Twin 8' Power Pole Blades, Power Pole CHARGE, Lowrance HDS 12 and 16 at console, Lowrance HDS 9, Garmin LiveScope at bow, Mercmonitor, Rigid Industries Deck lights and other stuff to come that will make me go more broke

You'll live to regret not getting a 200. That's a lot of boat for a 2.5L 175 motor to push.
