out with the '16 Z18, in with the '17 Z21 Pro package, economy stimulated!

I spent the better half of last year getting my 2016 Z18 set up and running the way I wanted it, and getting all the electronic toys juuuust right......................................
........................then I went to this season's boat show, found a smoking deal on a new 2017 Z21 Pro package I just couldn't pass up, and traded in my Z18.

I signed the paper work for the new boat last Friday morning, and left Saturday for Hawaii for a weeks vacation. Begged the wife for forgiveness while we were there. She was pissed for about an hour before she forgot about it over a beach side dinner and a bottle of wine.

Im taking the Ultrex, and Solix's off the Z18 to put on the Z21, so the HDS 9's will be for sale soon. The new boat is being set up with a 12" Atlas, and comes with a 24 Fury 3. I have a 25 Tempest I was planning to try out. Any other prop suggestions? My work schedule is crazy right now but hope to get it picked up next weekend. Then the fun begins all over again removing/installing graphs and trolling motor.

Here are some pics the dealer sent me when they pulled the shipping cover off to start getting it cleaned up and rigged.

That is a beautiful boat. You need to now change the stuff at the bottom. Was the z18 that pretty red too?

I like the trays in the back bilge access area. Utilizing wasted space.

Great looking boat. Fabulous colors. Nitro Z 21 is at top of my list for next new boat and I am currently in a Ranger. Nitro appears to have come a long way in the quality of their products in the last ten years. I hope I am right about that. The Z 21 is a lot of boat for the Money. I believe you made an excellent choice, well done sir. Let us know what you like and dislike about the boat after you have had time to run it.

I made the jump last year from a Ranger to a Nitro and haven’t looked back. I have the same color scheme as the blue Z21 in the pics and constantly get compliments on it. Love it...

Finally got the new boat picked up this weekend. Put about thirty minutes of break in time on the motor in the rain Saturday evening. The sun came out for me Sunday afternoon just in time to put about another 45 minutes on her. Ill be pulling the HDS's next weekend and installing my Solix's and second power pole. Biggest surprise so far was the hole shot. Boat had a full load of mine and my buddy's tackle, including 35 rods, 30 gallons of fuel, and both our 240# a$$es. Boat was on plane like it was shot out of a cannon! Lots of rain Saturday night and all storage stayed bone dry. I was also very impressed with the ride in rough water. Wind was blowing out of the north on Conroe and she crashed through the waves at 40-50 mph like a knife through butter, smoothest ride in rough water I've ever experienced, and the seats are extremely comfortable. Cant wait to get the break in finished so I can see what she will run. All of the time on her so far has been with the jack plate and the trim all the way down.
