2012 triton se/xs with mercury 200 pro xs

2012 19se/xs. The boat is in storage and don't have access to it so I don't know the P2P. I have been running a 24p fury3. RPMs are 5400 and top speed is 63-64mph. PSI is around 22 and running a 10" atlas jackplate. Looking at getting a new prop. Since I bought the boat I added a group 31 AGM starting battery, upsized the trolling motor batteries to group 29, added 2 power poles. What is the best prop I should get? I know the motor has a WOT of 5700rpms. I have thought about either a 24p Fury4 or a 24p Tempest Plus.

If your turning the 24 Fury 3 blade 5400 now a 24 fury 4 may not do any better since Mercury says they run pitch for pitch. You need to pick up 350 rpm's and I'd try a 25 Bravo xs. Your speed may not improve much maybe 2-3 mph but the boat should handle a lot better. Have you ran it fully loaded with water in the wells yet?

Yes I have ran it with the wells full and lose around 2mph. I've had people tell me that I'm running the best prop and then I've had others tell me to get a 24 tempest plus because it carries a load better.

Your not turning enough rpm's a WOT so it's not the best prop and a Tempest does carry a load better than a Fury 3. 24" Tempest may work too but it might need a little work.

What do you mean by needing a little work?

Even pitched Tempests are notorious for not being right out of the box. 24 and 26 usually need to be checked. 25 and 27 are usually good to go.
I would check all basics on your setup before investing in a prop. Experiment with prop to pad, do a compression test, make sure you are achieving WOT, check hotfoot adjustment (if applicable), etc.
When I first bought my boat, I went through 4 or five props, spent over 1,000 on motor work only to find out it wasn't getting WOT because hotfoot needed adjusting.

When you first got the boat before you added the two poles did you run the boat and if so how many rpm's did it turn and how fast did it go? It's a wide heavy boat and that's why I said get a Bravo xs.

I bought the boat, then put the poles on it before it ever hit the water. I know I lost speed but not rpms after I increased the battery sizes.

How many rpm's are you turning at break over on take off? You want to be between 3500 and 4000.

I started out running a 24 tempest and yes it allowed me to max out my RPM's at 5700 with a top speed of 65mph. I currently run a 25 tempest worked in the winter months and a 24 fury in the warmer months. The 25 tempest gave me a good hole shot with a top speed of 67-68 loaded at 5600rpm's and the 24 fury gave me a awesome hole shot with a top speed of 65-66 mph running 5700rpm's. Its give and take on what you would prefer, hole shot or a little more top speed. Also my PTP is 2 3/4, hope this helps out.
