Rainy would be a good choice. Do you want to stay on the US side? You can still access the Canadian side and the new rules on crossing via remote water is even easier now. The place hydrashack mentioned is in the North Arm and you will have to cross the boarder in international Falls.

Lake vermillion muskys, walleyes, panfish, large and small mouth basses plenty of options for lodging and plenty of seclusion.

Pelican Lake near Orr, MN is a great destination as well. Highly recommend that lake. It has a great population of both Smallmouth and Largemouth. It's also near Lake Vermilion, should you want to visit that beautiful lake as well.
