As much as I like the idea, I don't like adding more connections as that is where most troubles occur. You need to add the trailer socket. Also makes for an easy grab for a thief.

I have this type of cable on a boat trailer and yes they do look good. It was on the trailer when I purchased it and after using it I would not add it to any of my other trailers. It does add a connector (possible point of failure) and is easily removed. Mine will drag on the ground if not supported. I was going to shorten it so it would not drag, but that put more stress on the connectors.

I have one and like it. The way my trailer is wire, an extension is required to hook it to a truck. If I pull mine off, a thief would have a harder time getting away without attracting attention.

Did the exact same thing and it works awesome. Looks good too and no worries about droopy wires.

My Lowe factory trailer wiring came out in a 4 pin flat connector. The JEtConnex cable works well. I just remove it when i get to the ramp. It is noticeable and therefore a target for thieves. No big deal, it takes seconds to remove it. I am waiting on the new trailer to come home with me so I can see what will work on it.

I did this to my trailer, one of the best upgrades I have done to my trailer.
