With upgrading 2 12” Helix, power pole blades, hydraulic plate upgrade to ultrex 59K

my set up is 2 12” solix and one Garmin 7612, blades, hydraulic plate, ultrex upgrade, locker bar. The above set up is where I started and made the changes from that and I am at 65K.

Well first outing and I was super pleased with the boat and how it rode but struggling with the Suzuki so far. I have the Suzuki 4 blade 28 14.25 and with live wells full, full fuel and 2 guys 10 seconds to get on plane and was only able t get 60.2 at 4800 RPM. Seeing my prop guy Monday to start the process of figuring it out.

Suzuki’s definitely take some time to prop. Post some pictures of it when you can.

Im not sure about a Suzuki, but I have a 215 with a 250 Yamaha and Im running a 25p Fury prop. Livewells full and 45-50 gallons of fuel and 2 guys and my holeshot is around 5 seconds and that is just a guess as Ive never timed it. You'll get there just keep plugging away at it.

I have a 4 stroke Suzy, and it sounds like you're overpropped by a ton OR it needs to be broke in. Don't forget your motor is computer controlled. On my Suzy my red line is 6100, I only have a 175, and I run a 3 blade 16 inch diameter SS with a 24.5 pitch (because it's a cheap prop) I found a bunch for $50 apiece delivered a few years ago. I'm slow out of the hole loaded but I can hit 6100 if I want to on a 20 foot Stratos. I bought a 4 blade 14.25 28 pitch but it needs a prop ring it's a little too small in hub diameter. Make sure yours fits snug in the L/U so it doesn't blow out when you take off.

Something in the 30 pitch might be about right. Not too informed about Suzuki motors, but the 205 is a mid 70s boat, basing of the info you have given so far that is a 30 pitch prop turning 6000 rpm with 10% slip. Just my $.02

Although my Suzy has a redline of 6100, I don't like to run it there. A 2 stroke, lot less moving parts, maybe I'd run red line but in my mind, my 4 stroke will last longer when I cruise at 5500 or so. 6100 if I'm looking at late for weigh in.

Nice rig. I'd like to own that in about 10 years once it got some scratches and fading so I could chase fish without worrying about the finish. I like dual consoles but not that glove box.
